19mm Bluewater Bilge Stainless Switch Combo (ON/OFF)

This combo contains a standard ON-OFF stainless switch, with this harness which includes a blocking diode commonly used for bilge pumps where a float switch is wired in parallel.

The purpose of the diode is to prevent backfeeding of the house bus when the manual switch has no power applied but the float switch is on 24-hr power.  The diodes is rated for 20A (full forward current capacity of switch).  The diodes is installed in the INPUT lead of the switch, so it will not prevent the red ring from illuminating when the float switch comes on.  It is only necessary to use this product over a regular ON-OFF switch if you have a float switch installed and it’s on the 24hr circuit (ie, float can be on when manual switch has no power).

Our Bluewater 19mm “switch combos” contain everything you need to install this switch.  They are a four part switch containing:

1. Switch Base
2. Switch Label Insert
3. Blue Connector
4. Harness Assembly (with diode)

This is our smaller version – 19mm class mounting hole.  We have larger 22mm bluewater stainless switches also.

Functions:

Our marine grade Bluewater switches come with a variety of switch functions.  For example: ON-OFF, (ON)-OFF, ON-OFF-ON, Dimmer, and more.  This switch combo is an ON/OFF.

Wiring:

Bluewater switch combos come with color coded wire leads as shown below:

• Red – Positive Input – 4ft
• Brown – Positive Output – 4ft
• Black – Negative – 4ft
• Blue – Backlight Trigger – 4ft

It is typical on a panel to daisy-chain the negatives and backlight triggers across a bank of switches.  This is why these leads are shorter.

Some switch functions (a “Nav/Anc” for example) may have an additional wire lead.  A wiring diagram for all bluewater switches will ship with your order.

Lighting:

This switch lights up blue, illuminating the labels when it is on.  It lights up red when the switch is currently on.  Day or night.
