Resettable means the solid state circuit within the switch automatically senses over-current conditions and “trips” the load off. No additional branch circuit protection is required, so you can ditch the fuse block!
Like its name suggests, Non-resettable switches are NOT resettable – meaning you’ll need to protect them with a fuse or circuit breaker like any other switch.
With a Resettable switch, you can choose your current rating — 5a, 10A, 15A, or 20A. Once the switch senses current above that mark, it will turn the load off, and turn the LED off … just like if you had an external fuse or circuit breaker. Reset the switch by simply pressing it again.
Non-resettable Bocatech switches at New Wire Marine allow up to 15A of current, and come in a range of variations, including latching and momentary.
