Over 70 real Southport dash panel designs on file, previously built for actual owners.

Many panels span multiple years and layouts, so even if you don’t see your exact boat, chances are we’ve built something very close.

And if not, we can build from scratch — we’ve designed and built 10,000+ dash and switch panels.

Our Southport design library includes 79 documented dash and switch panel projects built for Southport owners across 16 different models with years ranging from 2006 to 2025. Every project represents a real, completed build created for a specific customer, or for Southport directly — not a concept, template, or stock layout.

Across these projects, the library contains 220 individual engineering drawing pages, including panel layouts, cut dimensions, and component placements. Many projects also include reference photos provided by customers, with 47 total pictures currently available. Some projects include multiple images.

Because boat manufacturers commonly reuse the same console and dash geometry across multiple production years, exact year matches aren’t always required to find a relevant starting point. Searching a range of nearby years or similar models often produces the most useful results.

All images and drawings shown in this library are the Intellectual Property of New Wire Marine, and may not be taken or reproduced. Full-resolution PDF drawings may be requested once you are working directly with a project manager, and final dimensions and fitment are always verified as part of the quoting and design process.

Why Southport Owners Trust
New Wire Marine

I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I am with my panel. It came out PERFECT and EXACTLY like what I wanted.

Thank you so much for going on this journey with me and delivering me this finished product. I wanted to share a couple teaser pictures with you now but I’ll get some better finished ones once the boat is in the water.

I don’t even know what to say, sometimes you have a vision in your head and you get close but this is honestly the first time a company has ever 100% nailed exactly what I was looking for without any compromises.

I’m a New Wire fan for life!

Looking for Just Parts? We've Got You Covered.

Whether you’re doing a DIY repair or upgrading your Southport’s helm, we carry the exact components you need—selected specifically for compatibility with Southport panels and tight console spaces.

We Know Southport Specific Requirements

Through the late 2000s, Southport used nearly the same dash panel shape across multiple models — especially the 26 and 28 series. We’ve built this panel configuration dozens of times, refining the exact outline and mounting details along the way. While layouts may vary depending on electronics and switch configuration, the core shape has remained consistent — and we’ve dialed it in.

With over 70 Southport panel builds on file, you can feel confident that your replacement dash panel will fit correctly, follow the console lines properly, and look like it belongs there. Experience matters with these panels — and this is one we know extremely well.

Most Southport models from the early 2000’s era were originally equipped with toggle switches, along with a few variations in how the panels were backed and wired. A very common upgrade we see is converting those toggles to illuminated rocker switches or modern push-button switches that are easier to read at night and give the helm a much more updated appearance.

At the same time, many Southport owners are upgrading electronics — often replacing older units or moving from a single display to dual MFDs. Because we custom-build each panel, we can redesign the layout to accommodate larger screens or a second unit without cutting into the fiberglass console. The result is a cleaner, more modern helm layout that feels like a factory refresh.

Another detail unique to many Southports is the battery parallel switch. This switch is often misunderstood because it functions momentarily — allowing you to parallel one of the start batteries with the house battery for additional cranking power. We make sure this switch is clearly labeled and positioned appropriately so there’s no confusion about what it does. When you complete a project with us, you’ll not only have a better-looking panel — you’ll have a better understanding of your boat’s electrical system as well.

New Wire Marine has been Southport’s OEM dash panel supplier since 2021. That means when you purchase a replacement dash panel from us, you’re working with the same company building the panels installed on new Southport boats today.

For many owners, that matters.

Southport is known as a quality-focused manufacturer, and they chose us because of our craftsmanship, consistency, and attention to detail. Our panels aren’t just aftermarket replacements — they’re built to OEM standards by the same team trusted on brand-new boats leaving the factory.

Over the years, our growth into the largest aftermarket marine dash panel manufacturer in the country has been driven by one thing: building panels that fit correctly, look factory-finished, and hold up in real-world marine conditions. When an OEM like Southport selects us as their dash supplier, it reinforces what thousands of retail customers already know — experience and quality matter.

If you own a Southport and want it done right, you’re already in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use the filters above to search by model and year. Because Southport often uses the same dash layout across multiple production years, it’s common to find a close match by browsing nearby years. If an exact year isn’t listed, similar projects are usually still relevant starting points.

That’s normal. This directory is extensive but not all-inclusive. Many Southport dash panels span multiple years, and some layouts are shared across models. If you don’t see an exact match, we may still have it on file, just not uploaded yet.  And we can definitely start a design from scratch.  This is sometimes better anyway.

Every project shown in our directory is a real dash or switch panel built for a Southport owner. These are not stock templates or concept designs. Each project is supported by engineering drawings, and many include reference photos provided by customers.  Feel confident that the products shown are probably installed and operating on a Southport today.

These projects are intended as proven starting points. They may work for you exactly as shown, but most of our customers want at least some customization for the way they use their boat.  And of coarse, the final dimensions, cutouts, and fitment should always be verified for your specific boat before production. Your project manager will review everything with you to ensure accuracy, and has the ability to review the previous project’s template, to see if there was any issues during the install of the product.

Absolutely.  We have been building custom dash and switch panels for over 15 years in Charleston, SC.  We have build well over 10,000 one-off custom projects.  We have over 60 employees and 15,000sqft of manufacturing space   It’s safe to say that we are the largest and most experienced custom panel builder in the US… probably the world.
