Switch Panel Projects
We’ve literally built thousands of completely custom marine grade switch panels. See below for a small selection of those.
If you see a panel and would like to have something similar made for you, please contact us with the panel number shown below and what modifications you you’d like to see.
27. SeaCraft Pushbutton Panel
This 30″ x 4.5″ panel was made to fit a 25′ SeaCraft. The material is our high-gloss 3/8 Black Acrylic with polished edges, green backlit labels, and a green backlit SeaCraft logo for a fantastic look and great readability at all light levels. It even included a dimmer to adjust the luminosity of the backlights.
The blue Bocatech pushbuttons give the panel an attractive modern look, and have the additional advantage of being a low-profile, space-saving option. If you want a sleek style panel, pushbuttons might be the option for you.
Approx Cost- $2400 – $3000
26. Regulator – Blue LED Rockers
Great example here of a Regulator dash with a bunch of rocker switches… 19! Added a few items here and there?
Hard to see in this picture, but it’s our Cobalt Carbon material… which is a really nice looking carbon weave. See all our material options here. This is our most popular rocker switch shown… a backlit blue LED. The new switch panel on this Regulator boat also includes a dimmer, which is really nice in this case because the blue is a rather bright switch typel
Also shown here is a backlit logo, which – if you have a Regulator is a no brainer!
Approx Cost: $1700 – $2000
25. Regulator Complete Dash
Here’s a very trendy concept we’ve been doing a lot of. It’s really a complete “blacked-out” dash remodel in a box. This one is on a 2008 26′ Regulator.
This is truly opaque, 1/2″, marine grade, UV stable acrylic… not that clear stuff painted on the back. We can Reverse Flush mount electronics into it, and have really pioneered the capability to inset labels and logos and to backlight them right into the face of the material.
We used push button switches with built-in breakers (bocatech) for this one… This Regulator’s dash panel replacement really made a 12-year-old boat look new again.
Approx Cost: $2500 – $3500
24. Regulator Switch Panel – Push Button
Here’s a great example of a replacement Regulator switch panel we custom built for one of our customers.
If your regulator switch panel is looking a bit tired with years of wear, updating with something like this push button switch panel will make your dash look like new!
Approx Cost: $1500 – $2000
23. Backlit Switches – Minimal Height
This switch panel material is a little darker than brushed silver. It really looks great with black logo engraving.
This customer really had a tiny amount of height available… only about 3″ total, so this design takes up just 2 3/4″ of height. We couldn’t fit breakers, so outfitted him with an under-dash fuse block for circuit protection.
Approx Cost: $750 – $1000
22. Contender Switch Panel w/ Push Buttons
Drop-in replacement Contender switch panel. Replaces the bent metal panel down at your thighs on many Contenders, but with dramatically improved appearance.
The bocatech switches used for this customer’s Contender allowed the thigh-high mounting without worrying about inadvertently turning things on with your legs… but made the backlit labels MUCH easier to read on those early morning trips offshore.
Approx Cost: $1500 – $2000
21. Mako Boat Switch Panel – Silver w/ Graphics
This switch panel for a Mako boat is a good case study for a number of points:
- Good design work can blend the classic with the modern – see how the Mako Marine logo is used in a unique way, combined with a pinstripe for a contemporary take on a classic boat.
- Panel design/etching can take what would be an odd layout and make it beautiful – notice how 17 switches that could have looked strange, but were designed with symmetry plus utility.
- Backlit switches are awesome… imagine how much more functional this is at night when the Nav light switch triggers all those backlights
- A/B selector switches – notice the red/white rocker switch in the top left for the boat’s helm lights. Our switch function availability allows us to meet just about any customer requirement
Approx Cost: $1300 – $1700
20. Brushed Silver – Graphics – Red Backlit Switches
This panel is super cool. It’s on the custom spear fishing boat used on The Sportsman Channel’s ‘The Opener’ TV show.
We did some super neat logo engravings, and incorporated the spear fishing arrow “behind” the switches, but continued the arrow’s shaft ONTO the switches to act as the indicator light
Approx Cost: $1350 – $1700
19. Carbon Fiber – Edgy Graphics – Backlit
This panel for a boat named “Raptor” is a great demonstration of edgy style logo/distressed artwork engravings. We even had an extra switch and come up with a cool raptor dinosaur switch etching for it (see it… 4th from the left).
Note also the NMEA 2000 breaker logo. With our permanent laser etching capability, we can label components and breakers even if they don’t have an associated rocker switch.
Approx Cost: $1200 – $1500
18. Yellowfin switch panel with blue LEDs
In this Yellowfin switch panel replacement, we used blue LED backlit rocker switches with our custom etched contura V switch covers.
We installed a built in dimmer (see it to the right of the logo?) that allows the (rather bright) blue LEDs to be dimmed when you don’t want them at full brightness running at night.
Approx Cost: $1250 – $1700
17. Triton switch panel replacement
This customer needed a large, odd-shaped, dash panel for his Triton boat that he could mount some large Garmins into. He also wanted to highlight the Triton boat logo.
We convinced him to try a pinstripe to break up the white panel on white fiberglass, and it really came out great.
Approx Cost: $1100 – $1500
16. Bocatech Panel on Black
Here’s an example switch panel using our bocatech resettable push button switches.
Text illumination and nice large Chris Craft logo are backlit when the panel lights switch is on.
The LED rings were pre-wired on this one to come on when the switches are on as an indicator light.
Approx Cost: $2000 – $2500
15. 9 Switch Panel on Brushed Silver
This switch panel was a lot of fun. This customer wanted something really snazzy for his Blazer boat, and their spot tail logo was really nice.
We used a large logo and ran it off the edge of the panel – and “under” the switches – and we thought it really came out looking cool!
We also added a pinstripe border to this one. That’s a little retro look normally, but combined with the logo etchings ended up looking awesome.
Approx Cost: $650 – $800
14. Single Switch Panel with Logo
Here’s a night shot of a simple little switch panel with a nice red backlit logo engraving.
The contrast of the switch illumination and logo backlighting really made the logo pop on this little guy.
We use backlights that are not too bright to interfere with your night vision, but enough to make a stunning display in the dark.
Approx Cost: $150 – $200
13. 12 Switch Panel on White C/F
This example Pro Line boats switch panel shows how our backlit logos look in the zoomed view.
Note on this panel how the one switch has the bottom lens illuminated. That is the indicator light, and as each switch is turned on, the light comes on as an indicator.
Approx Cost: $1000 – $1300
12. 13 Switch Panel on Brushed Silver
This customer opted for blue LED rocker switches. You can’t tell until the lights are on (see below).
We also added pre-cut holes for his ignition and kill switch.
Approx Cost: $1150 – $1400
This customer (James) was super great to work with. We actually did another small panels for him since. Here’s what he had to say:
“You and your guys have been great to work with on both projects. I wish more companies were as phenomenal to deal with as you have been. Everyone who has seen the panel loves it and asks who made it. They really like the blue back lighting, no one has seen that before. Thanks again for everything, you have a customer for life and I will tell everyone looking for this type of product the go to place is New Wire Marine.”
He was kind enough to send us a few shots of the installed product as well. Thank you James!
As you can see in the second image, this was taken in pretty much broad daylight, and the backlights are still quite bright. If this was to be used a lot at night, and the panel was higher on the helm than James’ was, we would recommend a dimmer.
11. 14 Switch Panel on Brushed Silver
In this example we have red printed contura II switches, a USB charger and a 12V Socket.
This customer also included a few 2 1/16″ gauge holes, and port and stbd ignition switches and kill switch.
Approx Cost: $750 – $1000
7. 16 Switch on Brushed Silver
We LOVE the way black logo etchings come out on our Brushed Silver Material… this Southport switch panel is a great example.
This complete dash assembly had pre-cut holes for both a Simrad NSS12, and NSS9… very nice!
Approx Cost: $1500 – $2000
This customer was nice enough to send us a before and after shot… which we really appreciate! Thanks Jerry!
You can see, not only is the appearance improved, but he’s able to run both MFD’s now, AND has the advantage of backlit rockers that can be used easily at night.
6. 9 Switch on White C/F
White Carbon Fiber print looks great. You can see the pattern pretty well in this shot.
This customer opted for no symbols, just backlit text. You can see how easy this would be to read in the dark.
Approx Cost: $700 – $850
This panel could almost be built with our E-Panel Builder and save some coin… if it wasn’t for the custom labels.
4. 16 Switch on Brushed Ebony
Bocatech push button switches in action. This is a good example of the complexity of shape and design we can achieve.
This particular panel even had ballast tank control rockers, which reversed polarity on the valves, with a built in “open” indicator light in red.
Approx Cost: $1800 – $2500
2. 12 Switch on Black
Simple panel printed rocker panel with red lens Contura II style rocker switches.
Approx Cost Custom Designed: $650 – $850
This panel could be created and ordered online using our new E-Panel Builder.
We’ve attached a screen shot from the E-Panel Builder interface, simulating what you’d see when you build it yourself online. Try it out if you’re thinking of a panel similar to this.
Approx Cost E-Panel Builder: $500 – $750
