Over 160 real Scout dash panel designs on file, previously built for actual owners.
Many panels span multiple years and layouts, so even if you don’t see your exact boat, chances are we’ve built something very close.
And if not, we can build from scratch — we’ve designed and built 10,000+ dash and switch panels.
About Our Scout Dash Panel Design Library
Our Scout design library includes 169 documented dash and switch panel projects built for Scout owners across 54 different models with years ranging from 1994 to 2024. Every project represents a real, completed build created for a specific customer — not a concept, template, or stock layout.
Across these projects, the library contains 472 individual engineering drawing pages, including panel layouts, cut dimensions, and component placements. Many projects also include reference photos provided by customers, with 196 total pictures currently available. Some projects include multiple images.
Because boat manufacturers commonly reuse the same console and dash geometry across multiple production years, exact year matches aren’t always required to find a relevant starting point. Searching a range of nearby years or similar models often produces the most useful results.
All images and drawings shown in this library are the Intellectual Property of New Wire Marine, and may not be taken or reproduced. Full-resolution PDF drawings may be requested once you are working directly with a project manager, and final dimensions and fitment are always verified as part of the quoting and design process.
Hmm, looks like we don't have that specific model/year combo uploaded yet...
But no worries! We may still have it in our files, and we can definitely recreate it.
💡 Quick Tips:
- Try opening up the year selection builders—often use the same panel design across multiple years
- Select multiple similar models—console layouts are often shared between model sizes
It's EASY — our Project Managers can work with you REMOTELY to recreate your exact panel.

Whether you’re doing a DIY repair or upgrading your Scout’s helm, we carry the exact components you need—selected specifically for compatibility with Scout panels and tight console spaces.
We Know Scout Specific Requirements
Scout has used a wide mix of switch styles over the years — including toggle switches, Carling-style rocker switches, push button switches, and in some newer models, digital switching systems. The good news is: we’ve worked with all of it. Whether you want a clean factory-style replacement using the same switch type, or you want to modernize your helm with updated push buttons, we can help you choose the best setup for your model and how you use the boat.
If your Scout has a digital switching system, we can also design panels around modern solutions like Blue Water Signal switching, paired with laser-etched labels for a clean, professional look. And if you’re not sure what you have, no problem — send us a photo of your existing dash and we’ll confirm compatibility before anything gets built.
One thing many Scout owners don’t realize until they start a dash project is that Scout consoles often have a subtle curve or bow in the mounting surface — especially on popular models like the 222 Sportfish. That small contour can cause problems if the wrong material is used, or if the panel isn’t designed with proper fitment in mind. We’ve built enough Scout panels to know exactly how to approach it, including selecting the right material so the panel installs cleanly and follows the console like it came from the factory.
We’ve also learned model-specific details over the years — for example, on the 177 Sportfish, the available switch panel height is often tight, so using custom horizontal etched rocker switch actuators is a common solution that looks clean and fits correctly. These are the little details that separate a “close enough” panel from a professional, factory-quality upgrade. And because we have a large Scout project library on file, we can often start with a proven layout — then customize it to match your electronics and your exact setup.
Many older Scout boats were originally designed around a single small chartplotter or analog gauge layout. As electronics have grown, owners often want to add a second MFD, increase screen size, or clean up the helm with a more modern “blackout” look like today’s new Scout models. Instead of cutting fiberglass or modifying the console, we can design a custom dash panel that integrates larger displays cleanly — often covering unused openings and repositioning components for a factory-style finish.
Because we’ve worked on so many Scout layouts, we understand where space is tight, how to balance screen placement, and how to modernize the helm without making it look like an afterthought. The result is a cleaner install, easier electronics mounting, and a helm that looks like it came that way from the factory — just updated for today’s technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find a dash panel for my specific Scout model and year?
Use the filters above to search by model and year. Because Scout often uses the same dash layout across multiple production years, it’s common to find a close match by browsing nearby years. If an exact year isn’t listed, similar projects are usually still relevant starting points.
What if I don’t see my exact Scout model or year listed?
That’s normal. This directory is extensive but not all-inclusive. Many Scout dash panels span multiple years, and some layouts are shared across models. If you don’t see an exact match, we may still have it on file, just not uploaded yet. And we can definitely start a design from scratch. This is sometimes better anyway.
Are these real past projects or just examples?
Every project shown in our directory is a real dash or switch panel built for a Scout owner. These are not stock templates or concept designs. Each project is supported by engineering drawings, and many include reference photos provided by customers. Feel confident that the products shown are probably installed and operating on a Scout today.
Can I use one of these designs exactly as shown?
These projects are intended as proven starting points. They may work for you exactly as shown, but most of our customers want at least some customization for the way they use their boat. And of coarse, the final dimensions, cutouts, and fitment should always be verified for your specific boat before production. Your project manager will review everything with you to ensure accuracy, and has the ability to review the previous project’s template, to see if there was any issues during the install of the product.
Do you build these panels completely from scratch?
Absolutely. We have been building custom dash and switch panels for over 15 years in Charleston, SC. We have build well over 10,000 one-off custom projects. We have over 60 employees and 15,000sqft of manufacturing space It’s safe to say that we are the largest and most experienced custom panel builder in the US… probably the world.
