Backlit Rocker Switch – Fuel Fwd/Aft

This genuine Carling rocker switch labeled “Fuel Fwd/Aft” is manufactured by laser marking, NOT printing. Laser technology allows for a stunning backlight effect. It’s a great upgrade to our popular Contura II style rocker switches.

This product is the ENTIRE SWITCH combo and includes both the switch body and the labeled cover. Find the laser-etched Fuel Fwd/Aft switch cover sold separately here.

How Does the Backlighting Work?

• Laser marking lets light show only where we etch
• Text/symbols illuminate — not a printed lens
• Both top and bottom lights are independent — typically the top is wired to the nav light circuit, while the bottom can be tied to one pole’s output as an indicator

Will It Fit?

This rocker switch will replace any Carling V-series or Contura style rocker switch.  That includes Contura style switches sold by Carling, Sierra, Blue Sea Systems, Sea-Dog, etc.  It uses an industry-standard 1.45″  x 0.83″ mounting hole.

Wiring Info & Wiring Diagram:

This rocker switch has 10 terminals on the back:

1. 12V input – terminal 2
2. 12V output – terminals 1-3
3. negative source – terminals 7-9
4. backlight trigger – terminals 8-10

On Contura Styles and Colors:

This Fuel Fwd/Aft switch uses our Contura V-style laser-engraved cover. The legend itself becomes the lens. Brightest: Cool White, Blue, Green, Bright Red. Mid: Amber, Warm White. Least bright: Red.
