This pre-wired bilge pump diode assembly simplifies the installation of automatic bilge pump float switches and other marine electrical circuits that require one-way current flow. The diode acts like an electrical check valve, allowing power to flow in one direction while preventing unwanted backfeeding into switches, indicators, alarms, or other connected circuits.
Without a blocking diode, an automatically activated float switch can sometimes send power backward through the manual control circuit, causing switch lights, warning buzzers, dash indicators, or other accessories to operate unintentionally. This assembly helps eliminate those issues while simplifying installation.
Each unit is built using a 20A diode and comes pre-wired with marine-grade leads, a #8 ring terminal, and a heat-shrink butt connector for fast, reliable installation.
