Carling VCH-01, “Packard Connector” (8-Terminal Base)

The Carling VCH-01 Contura switch connector housing (often called a “Packard connector”) is the easiest way to cleanly wire an 8-terminal base Carling V-Series rocker switch.

Instead of connecting individual wires to the back of the switch, this connector lets you build a harness that plugs on in one step. That means faster installs, cleaner wiring, and much easier switch replacement down the road—no risk of mixing up wires.

The housing accepts Delphi Metri-Pack 630 terminals, which lock securely into place and create a reliable, OEM-style connection. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a big difference in both installation quality and long-term serviceability.

Which Switches Will it Fit

The VCH-01 fits any Carling V-Series rocker switch with an 8-terminal base style. This does not mean the switch has 8 terminals installed—it refers to the base layout.

There are only two base styles: 8-terminal and 10-terminal. You can identify yours by the numbering on the side of the switch. If the numbers go up to 8, it’s an 8-terminal base. If they go up to 10, it’s a 10-terminal base.

Even if your switch has fewer physical terminals, it will still use one of these two base styles. (We also offer the 10-terminal version of this connector.)
