LED Lighting

We’ve added an optional flush-mounted top LED light. Super high-quality, Lumitec Echo cool white (5000k color temperature) looks fantastic. Trigger it with an external switch, or connect it to your nav light circuit so it’s always on at night.

It’s IP67, runs cool, is third-party dimmable, and recessed so it won’t snag on anything you’re putting into your storage box. Opt-in, or skip it with the optional selection above. Note, if you opt for no light, the top will be solid with no hole.

Retention lip

Maybe you’re mounting at a slight downward angle, or perhaps you just don’t want to worry about your items falling out when you open the door. Regardless, we’ve got you covered. Our engineers have designed a sturdy, clear acrylic lip right behind the door that keeps your items in, but still allows you to see if you forgot your credit card hiding behind it! If desired, the retention lip can be customized with laser etching (click “customize me” to do so).

Gasket Sealed

A foam gasket seal around the entire mating surface of the door to the frame ensures your boat can be washed down with confidence. Lined with quality adhesive so it won’t come loose, our seal will keep your belongings dry.

Marine Foam Floor Liner

A grey marine-grade EVA foam liner adds a simple, yet stylish touch, elevating our box’s appearance and function. HDPE is naturally somewhat slick, so this foam prevents small objects from sliding about your storage compartment. Plus, it looks great. We can also customize this with your logo of choice (click “customize me” to do so).

Durable, Quality Construction

This glove box is heavy and strong.  Made of 3/4″ and 1/2″ HDPE it’s extremely solid and matches other Kind Starboard or Boat Board existing trim pieces.  Every metal part, from the latch to the hinge to every screw, is made of high quality stainless steel so you it won’t become a chore to clean stains down the road.

Lesser quality boxes are sometimes made with multiple piece frames, that force the interior of the box to be smaller.  We used full machined 3/4″ HDPE frame that give about an extra 1/2″ of usable storage space all the way around.  One of the many small things that makes our glove boxes better.

Easy to install with a jig saw and drill using our provided clear mounting template.
