Not every boat needs a full tackle station — sometimes you just want your pliers and a knife off the deck and within reach. The Compact Boat Pliers & Knife Holder is the small, economical way to do it. It’s a single-shelf holder cut from full 1/2″ HDPE boat board in Charleston, SC, so even at this size and price it’s every bit as tough as our larger holders. At just 3-5/8″ wide and 1-1/2″ tall, it tucks into tight console spots a bigger holder won’t fit.

Holds one pair of pliers, one knife or pair of small fishing scissors, and three hooks, lures, or rigged leaders.

Small, But Still Tough

Cheap tool holders are usually thin, flexy plastic. This one isn’t. It’s cut from the same full 1/2″ HDPE boat board as our larger holders, with the shelf locked into the backplane so it stands up to real use — it just happens to be the small, single-shelf, budget-friendly member of the family. Perfect as a first holder on a smaller boat, or as a second one dedicated to a specific spot on a bigger rig.

How to Mount It

This one is screw-mount only — there isn’t room on a holder this compact for suction cups. The two countersunk holes take #8 flat-head (countersunk) screws (available in your choice of length and finish from our fasteners) and sit up under the shelf so the hardware disappears once it’s installed.
