The charger on our HelmGrip charge is a Scanstrut Aura charger (IPX6 waterproof).  It features 10W of wireless charging power, a spring loaded push-bar that keeps your phone against the charging surface.  Wiring is easy with two conductors (power and negative).  You will need to cut a hole in the fiberglass for the base of the charger to come through.  Note, while the charger itself it waterproof, any water that does get into the charger will drain out the bottom, so either protect it from rain/washdown, or make sure the void below will drain to the bilge or deck.

The Aura charger will ship separate from foam, so you can use the hole in the foam as a template to draw the cutout hole for the charger.  The charger comes with 3M adhesive already on the underside, we find the screws are usually not necessary to use – but come provided you can choose to use them or not depending on your application.
