Product Description
NMEA 2000 Power Cable (2 Meter / ~6.5ft)
The NMEA 2000 power cable from Bluewater provides a clean and reliable way to supply power to your vessel’s NMEA 2000 backbone. Because every NMEA 2000 network requires a dedicated power feed, this cable offers a straightforward, marine-grade solution for energizing new or existing systems. Place this Tee near the center of your backbone (roughly half the drops to one side, and have to the other).
It features a molded 5-pin Micro-C connector on one end and stripped wire leads on the other, giving you flexibility when tying into a fused DC power source (can cut to length). This cable does not include an inline fuse, allowing you to place your own fuse where it best fits your system layout (this one would work nicely). For safety, the NMEA 2000 backbone must be fused at 3A or less.
Fully compatible with all major NMEA 2000 brands—including Garmin, Simrad, Lowrance, Raymarine (SeaTalkNG via Micro-C), B&G, and Yamaha Command Link—this 2-meter power cable is built for durability in harsh environments. Its marine-grade jacket and waterproof molded connector make it ideal for helm stations, consoles, and behind-panel installations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does every NMEA 2000 network need a power cable?
Yes. All NMEA 2000 backbones require a single dedicated power feed. Without it, none of the devices on the network will communicate. Place a single power Tee near the center of your NMEA 2000 network backbone.
Does this cable include a fuse?
No. A fuse is not built into this cable. Installers add their own fuse (3A max), which allows for proper placement near the vessel’s power source. The bare end can be cut down to length required.
Is this compatible with Garmin, Simrad, Raymarine, and Lowrance?
Yes. The Micro-C connector matches all NMEA 2000 certified systems, including Garmin, Simrad, Lowrance, B&G, Raymarine (via Micro-C), and Yamaha Command Link.
Where should I install the fuse?
The fuse should be placed as close to the 12V power source as possible (on the red wire), typically on a dedicated breaker, inline holder, or distribution panel.
Can I use this cable to replace a damaged NMEA 2000 power feed?
Yes. It works as a direct replacement when the original power lead is damaged or corroded.
Is this cable waterproof?
Yes. The molded Micro-C connector and marine-grade jacket are built to withstand moisture, vibration, and salt exposure.
