Product Description
Marine Suction Cup Mount
The suction-cup mounting option for our HDPE tool holders, drink caddies, and accessories. It’s a 1-7/8″ clear marine-grade suction cup with a stainless steel screw already fitted through the center, so you can suction-mount any New Wire Marine 1/2″ base HDPE item without drilling it down permanently.
Mounts any New Wire Marine HDPE holder or caddy to a smooth, clean, non-porous surface — no pilot hole required.
Key Features
- Marine-Grade Suction Cup – 1-7/8″ cup built to live on the water.
- Stainless Steel Screw – #4. Corrosion-resistant, and it threads in from the back without breaking the suction seal.
- Tool-Free-Simple Install – HDPE is soft enough that no pilot hole is needed — just push and turn with a small Phillips screwdriver.
- Removable & Reusable – Back the screw out to move it or add more as your setup changes.
How It Installs
The stainless screw threads in from the back of the suction cup without breaking the seal, so installation is about as easy as it gets: hold the cup against the back of your New Wire Marine HDPE item and drive the screw in with a small Phillips screwdriver. No pilot hole, no special tools — just push and turn. Want to move it later or add more cups? Back the screw out and relocate; the HDPE takes a screw again just fine.
A Word on Suction Cups
How well any suction cup holds comes down almost entirely to the surface. On smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces — glass, gelcoat, acrylic windshields, smooth fiberglass — a clean cup grips well. On textured, dirty, or freshly waxed surfaces, hold quality drops, sometimes a lot. Suction cups are at their best when you don’t want to drill a hole, want to move an item around, or want to test a location for a few trips before committing to a permanent mount. For anything that has to stay put in rough water, we recommend screwing the item down instead. Bottom line: your mileage may vary — clean the surface well, press firmly to set the seal, and check it before you count on it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to drill a pilot hole?
No. HDPE is soft enough to drive the stainless screw straight in with a small Phillips screwdriver — just push and turn.
Will this also work on Acylic?
No. This product should be used with HDPE only, it will likely crack acrylic without very special handling.
Can I remove it or move it later?
Yes. Back the screw out and relocate it, or add more cups as your setup changes. The HDPE holds a screw again fine.
Will it hold on any surface?
Suction works best on smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces. Textured, dirty, or waxed surfaces reduce the hold — for anything that must stay put in rough water, screw the item down instead.
