Boat Tool & Leader Holder

Two rigging stations on one backplane. This holder pairs our Angler’s pliers-and-knife tool holder with a leader spool rack, so your pliers, knives, hooks, and pre-tied leaders all live in one spot within arm’s reach. It’s CNC-cut from full 1/2″ HDPE boat board in Charleston, SC, and mounts at the rigging station, on a leaning post, inside a console door, or anywhere you build leaders and work fish.

Holds a pair of pliers, two knives (one slot also fits small fishing scissors), nine hooks or lures, and a leader rack for up to two 1″-wide or four 1/2″-wide leader spools — all on one backplane.

Your Whole Rigging Station, in One Piece

When you’re tying leaders, you want the spools, the pliers, and the knife all in the same place — not a spool holder here and a tool holder three feet away. This puts them together. Pull leader off a free-spinning spool, crimp or tie it with pliers pulled from the shelf, trim with the knife, and hang the finished rig on one of the hook holes. Everything is right where your hand already is.

How the Leader Rack Works

Leader spools drop onto the rack and spin freely, so you can pull line straight off without taking a spool down. It fits standard leader spools with a 3.375″ center hole, and holds up to two 1″-wide spools or four 1/2″-wide spools — mix widths however your leader material comes. There’s about 2″ of usable spindle height, and most fluorocarbon and monofilament leader spools are made right at 1/2″ or 1″ wide, so they stack cleanly.

How to Mount It

We recommend screw mounting for a permanent hold — the countersunk holes take #8 flat-head (countersunk) screws (available in your choice of length and finish from our fasteners) and sit under the leaders and tools so the hardware disappears once it’s loaded.

About the Suction Cups (Optional)

Suction cup hold does vary with how clean and un-waxed the surface is. They’re useful if you really don’t want to drill a hole, want to move the holder around, or want to test out a location for a few trips before mounting it permanently. Bottom line: your mileage may vary on the suction cups. They mount by simply screwing into the back of the holder with the small screw included with each cup.
