“S” Style 19mm Pre-Built Connector with Diode
Recommended for bilge switches with a float switch, or any load that has another switch in parallel.
This connector comes with a built-in diode. A diode is like a check valve for electricity – it only allows current (amps) to flow in one direction.
Why would you want a diode in your harness? Well, with a MOSFET switch like a Bluewater pushbutton, current can flow backwards through the switch when the switch is not powered up. This often happens with manual bilge pump switches, where there is a float switch fed by a (separate) 24hour circuit. This diode prevents that.
The diode switch does not stop the red light from illuminating when your float switch floats.
A 19mm BlueWater ON/OFF pre-built connector that includes 4ft input and output leads, and 4ft negative and backlight leads. This connector fits onto a 22mm BlueWater stainless steel body available here.
There are no special tools needed to attach this to the switch. All of the specialty crimping and assembly has been done for you.
There is sealing plug already inserted into the open cavity.
