The New Wire Marine Angler’s Pliers & Knife Holder keeps your most-grabbed tools in one spot, mounted right where you fish. It’s CNC-cut from full 1/2″ HDPE boat board in Charleston, SC and assembled with dado and mortise-and-tenon joinery — strong enough to lean on and clean enough to show off. The compact two-shelf design projects just under 3″ from the surface.

Holds one pair of pliers, two knives (one slot also fits small fishing scissors), and up to nine hooks, lures, or rigged leaders.

Built Strong, Finished Clean

Most tool holders are thin molded plastic that flexes and cracks. This one is cut from full 1/2″ HDPE boat board and joined the way good furniture is — dado and mortise-and-tenon joints that lock the two shelves into the backplane. The result is a part you can actually haul on: grab the pliers and pull as hard as you like, and the shelves stay put. The same joinery that makes it strong makes it clean, too — no exposed seams, and the mounting screws hide up under the shelves so no hardware shows once it’s installed. It looks as at home on a jon boat as it does on a luxury yacht.

What It Holds

Sized for one pair of standard fishing pliers — we’ve tested it across every pair we could get our hands on and they all seat well in the two-shelf slots. Two knives drop into the knife slots, and the rounded relief in one slot also holds a pair of small fishing scissors. The nine small holes are sized to hang hooks, lures, or pre-rigged leaders where you can grab them fast.

How to Mount It

We recommend screw mounting for a permanent hold — the two countersunk holes take #8 flat-head (countersunk) screws (available in your choice of length and finish from our fasteners) and sit up under the shelves so the hardware disappears once it’s installed.

About the Suction Cups (Optional)

Suction cup hold does vary with how clean and un-waxed the surface is. They’re useful if you really don’t want to drill a hole, want to move the holder around, or want to test out a location for a few trips before mounting it permanently. Bottom line: your mileage may vary on the suction cups. They mount by simply screwing into the back of the holder with the small screw included with each cup.
