Product Description

High Water Alarm Kit

BE ALERT TO HIGH WATER IN YOUR BILGE – AUDIBLY, VISIBLY, AND IN STYLE – WITH OUR HIGH WATER ALARM KIT.

You updated your dash… beautiful units, nice switches… And that ugly old bilge alarm?

Not if we have a say!

We’ve put together a sleek, stainless steel high water alarm kit with all the parts you need to get started.

The panel mounted alarm sounds at 80dB and features a matching visual pulsation of red LED light around the ring of the alarm. The lighting and sound are triggered only when engaged by the float switch (or any switch of your choice) – meaning accurate information and no confusion when you’re on the water!

Our Kit Includes:

  • 2, precut positive (+) and negative (-) leads
    • 8 inches, 18AWG
    • #4 Ring Terminal, 22-18 AWG
    • Heat shrink protected
  • 2 spare #4 Ring Terminals
  • 12V High Water Alarm
    • 304 Stainless Steel – no rust!
    • IP50 Environmental Protection
    • 80dB sound intensity
    • Red LED visual alarm – only lit when triggered
    • 5A max rating

High Water Alarm Audio/Visual Demo:

High Water Alarm Installation:

  1. Drill a 19mm (.75 in.) hole in desired location
  2. Remove locking nut from rear of the alarm
  3. Install alarm from the front of the panel, securing from the back with the locking nut. Ensure that the gasket – the thin black ring under the face – sits flatly and securely between the alarm and the panel.
  4. Remove screws and attach the precut leads. We recommend a very small screwdriver – one used for glasses or slightly bigger.
  5. The contacts are interchangeable, meaning which lead you attach to which contact doesn’t matter.
  6. GENTLY install leads using your small screwdriver
  7. Gang your negative ground lead (black) to the other grounds
  8. Wire your input lead (red) so that it connects to your float switch. If you have 2 float switches, we recommend the higher, oh sh*t switch. (Need a second (or first) float switch? We’ve got you covered. Check that out here.)
