VJD1-GEEB ON-OFF-ON DPDT Rocker Switch Body
The Carling Technologies VJD1-GEEB is an eight-terminal ON-OFF-ON DPDT rocker switch body for 12-volt marine and vehicle electrical panels. Its two green LED lamps have different jobs: the top lamp is independently powered for panel backlighting, while the bottom lamp is dependent on the switch circuit for status indication.
This lamp arrangement makes the VJD1-GEEB especially useful as a NAV/ANC rocker switch. In a typical navigation and anchor-light circuit, one maintained position powers the navigation and anchor lights together, while the other position powers the anchor light only. The independent top lamp can remain on a separate backlight circuit controlled by another switch or dimmer.
Independent Top Lamp and Dependent Bottom Lamp
- Independent top lamp: Powered separately through terminals 8 and 7, so it can join the rest of the panel backlighting.
- Dependent bottom lamp: Connected to the switched circuit to provide an illuminated status indication when the applicable output is energized.
- ON-OFF-ON switching: Maintained three-position action with two separate poles for controlling paired marine loads.
Switch body only: Pair this body with a compatible Carling Contura rocker actuator or cover, sold separately, to complete the switch.
