Digital Lighting Control at Your Fingertips
Experience complete control of your boat’s lighting with the revolutionary Lumitec POCO System. This cutting-edge module serves as the interface for controlling Lumitec PLI-compatible lights straight from your MFD (Multi-Function Display) or smartphone.
Gone are the days of complex wiring setups. The POCO simplifies your system with just two wires for each light, utilizing proprietary PLI (Power Line Instruction) technology. Commands such as brightness and color adjustments are sent directly over the standard 12V power lines.
👉 Note: Full functionality is available only with Lumitec PLI-compatible lights. Check out our extensive collection here.
How Do I Control My Lights?
The POCO module offers unparalleled flexibility:
- MFD Control: Replace physical switches with virtual ones on your MFD. Lights are wired in parallel and automatically identified during setup.
- Smartphone Integration: Control your lights wirelessly with the Lumitec smartphone app.
- Scene Customization: Configure personalized lighting scenes like a “Nighttime Running Scene” with dimmed gunnel lights or a “Sandbar Party Scene” featuring strobing, multicolor effects.

How Many Lights Can POCO Control?
There’s no practical limit to the number of PLI-compatible lights the POCO can handle. The only restriction is current: the module features four 10A channels for a total capacity of 40A—enough for most boats.
Pro Tip: High-current lights often have separate power and POCO control wires, meaning even with underwater or spotlights, one POCO is typically sufficient.
Need Physical Switches?
For those who prefer tactile controls, the S8 Expansion Module bridges the gap. Pair it with push-button switches like our Carling AV switches, Bluewater Signal switches, or even momentary rocker switches. The S8 communicates seamlessly with the POCO, ensuring changes via physical buttons reflect instantly on your MFD, and vice versa.
Using Third-Party Lights?
Want to integrate RGB lights from other manufacturers? No problem. Add one of these expansion modules for custom zones:
- Pico C4: Controls up to 2.5A of RGB lights per zone.
- Pico C4-Max: Handles higher loads with a 10A capacity.
- Pico Ohm: Ideal for small loads (e.g., speaker ring lights). Comes in a 4-pack with a max load of 0.4A per zone.
Each module integrates seamlessly into the system, allowing grouping and individual zone control for a fully customized experience.
How Does POCO Connect to My MFD?
Connecting the POCO to your MFD is surprisingly straightforward. Most modern displays are compatible, and the app installs automatically upon connection.
