Product Description

(ON)-OFF-(ON), DPDT, 2 IND Lamps

Our VLD2-U66B rocker Switch is a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) switch with two independent lights. It’s function is (ON)-OFF-(ON). (ON) means momentary. So this switch would normally be used for things like trim tabs, tilt/trim systems or anchor windlasses.

It’s the one we use for all our white incandescent stock (ON)-OFF-(ON) switch variants in our backlit rocker switch category.  Having both lights be independent allows them to be triggered externally, to read the switch cover etchings at night.

It could also be converted to dependent lights with an external jumper if your requirements necessitate indication while you’re pressing the switch.

The UP and DOWN position are on.  And the CENTER position is off.

Being a Double Pole Switch, this VLD2 CAN be used to reverse polarity on an electric motor if desired.

As are all our marine grade rocker switches – this VLD2 is sealed IP68 submersion waterproof.  Perfect to use in the marine environment.

Like the indicating lights, there should be a way to replace the LEDs when they fail. Currently, the entire switch has to be replaced. Website and checkout procedure are very good.
