ON-OFF-(ON) Rocker Switch Body

Our V7D1 is one of our less common switches – but it has it’s uses. It is a Single Pole Double Throw, where the up position is latching, and the down position is momentary.

Sometimes people like to use these for bilge switches, where the upper position is the “auto” mode (going to float switch), and the bottom momentary position is manual. This prevents someone from accidentally leaving the bilge pump on.

If wired for a bilge pump, we’d recommend jumping T1 and T8 together… this way when the float turns the switch on, the light will illuminate.

This V7D1 rocker switch has a single independent light in the top position 0 no dependent light on this one.

This genuine Carling Contura switch will fit any of our switch actuators (or covers) – either etched series, or printed switch cover variety.
